Today is the day after Halloween, but I see scary designs all the time, not just on Halloween. And as well as scary designs, I see a lot of ugly ones too. But this week as we as scare you I'll show you what you can do about it. Learn to make designs that aren't scary or ugly.

Web designs shouldn't be scary. Yes, the content can scare the bejeezus out of your customers if that's what you want, but the design itself shouldn't be scary. I have come up with 14 design techniques that scare me whenever I see them, can you think of more? Happy Halloween!

I used 10 random searches to find 10 random sites, and (and this should be no surprise to you) most of the sites were built with almost no design aesthetic.
