The Role of Desktop Publishing in Creating Packaging
Here's a wild idea for wrapping presents this year -- use your graphics and desktop publishing software to whip up labels or wrapping paper that mimics the actual packaging for whatever you've wrapped (or something entirely from your imagination). But give it a made-up name, holiday-themed taglines in place of marketing slogans, and maybe even a logo that represents you, the gift-giver. I like the idea but in truth, leftover paper or last minute gift bags are probably what any of my gift-recipients will get.
