From Jennifer Kyrnin, your Guide to Web Design / HTML
Adobe announced the latest version of Dreamweaver (and the rest of the Creative Suite) on April 23rd, and I had the opportunity to check out Dreamweaver ahead of time. Plus, I show you how to create a glow effect using just CSS and no images. And don't forget the INPUT button type when creating your web forms.

Every week in the forum we get several pleas for help. Sometimes I have answers but not always. If you've ever been helped by someone else, why not take a few minutes to pop into the Web Design forum or the HTML / XML forum and "pay it forward."

Please forward this newsletter, in its entirety, to your colleagues, coworkers and friends, anyone you think would like to learn more about web design, HTML, and web development.

First look at Dreamweaver CS6
Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 Adobe announced today the latest version of their Creative Suite—CS6. And I had the opportunity to check it out ahead of time. Dreamweaver CS6 brings a bunch of new features, some of which I found very useful, and a whole new look (think dark…) to the latest version of Dreamweaver.

How to Create a Glow Effect in CSS3
An outer glow effect done in Photoshop I created this glowing box with Photoshop, but CSS3 makes it possible to build this same box without any images at all. Learn how you can do the same thing.

Add Custom Submit Buttons with the INPUT Button Element
The INPUT element has a button type that is more flexible than the basic submit type. It isn't as flexible as the BUTTON element, but gives you more options than a plain submit button.

Poll: Do you use advanced mailto links?
When you are adding email addresses to your web pages, you can link them to open in an email program by using the mailto: command in the link. But what's interesting to me is how few mailto links have the advanced features set to define the subject, CC, or BCC. Do you use these features in mailto links or do you leave them off?
